The Hardin County Ag Society set the next meeting for May 1, 2024 with the following agenda.

     • Meeting needs scheduled to review the Strategic Plan.

     • Cracked sewer line has been fixed at the caretaker’s house.
     • Update on Rest Room upgrades

   • Camping Committee
     • The 12 vacant fair camping spots have been taken for this year, just waiting on their payments from sone.
     • The Cushman Club will start arriving on Sunday, May 12th.  Actual event starts Wednesday, May 15th.
     • We had 34 reserved camping spots for the Solar Eclipse.  12 of those were just paid parking spots.  There were 10 no shows.  Totalled $950.
   • Entertainment Committee
     • Face Painter for children’s tent
     • Saturday night’s entertainer has been announced – Rodney Adkins, with opener Bucky Covington.  Online ticket sales started April 26th.  There are 2 options: Grandstand seating at $25 and track seating/standing at $35.
     • Rob is working on a speaker for the Hour of Inspiration.
     • High School Band contracts will be sent this month for Tuesday night of the fair.
   • Livestock Committees
     • Vet contract and meeting with Diamond M.
     • Dairy Beef Feeder weigh in is Saturday, May 18th from 8-10:30am
     • Sheep Weigh in is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th from 8-9:30am
     • Goat Weigh in is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th from 10-11am
     • Judges are needed for Dairy, Dairy Beef, Beef and dogs.
   • Rides and Concessions
     • Vendor/Concession Applications are now available online for indoor and outdoor spaces.
   • Advertising/Sponsorship Committee
     • Sponsorship campaign continues
     • Award/Ribbon Sponsorship past due letters need to be sent.
