Hardin County Fair Cheerleading Competition 2025

Get ready to cheer! The Hardin County Fair Cheerleading Competition returns on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at the Hardin County Fair Grandstand. Sponsored by the Hardin County Agricultural Society, Ohio State University Extension, Hardin County Family YMCA, and Warrior Athletics North, this high-energy event will kick off at 12:30 PM. In case of rain, the event will be moved to Kenton High School.

Event Highlights:

  • Who Can Participate: Open to school squads and USASF All Star teams, with multiple divisions and categories available. Participants can compete in more than one category.
  • Categories Include:
    • Competition Routine (3-minute limit)
    • Game Day (3-minute limit – must include fight song, crowd-leading, and band dance with transitions)
    • Fight Song Only (1-minute limit)
    • Jump-Off, Tumble-Off, and Tuck-Off ($5 per person, register day of event, cash only)
  • Age Divisions (2025–2026 School Year):
    • Tiny (2nd grade & under)
    • Mini (4th grade & under)
    • Youth (6th grade & under)
    • Middle School (8th grade & under)
    • JV/Freshmen (9th–11th grade)
    • Small Varsity (fewer than 10 members, 9th–12th grade)
    • Large Varsity (11+ members, 9th–12th grade)
    • Super Senior: High school graduates and above (for individual events only)
    • USASF teams follow USASF levels and grids

Registration & Entry Details:

  • Deadline: Forms and payment must be postmarked by August 1, 2025
  • Fees:
    • $50 per squad for one category
    • $10 per squad for each additional category
    • $5 per person for Jump-Off, Tumble-Off, Tuck-Off

  • Spectator Admission:
    • Fair admission: $10 (ages 9 and up)
    • Grandstand admission: $5 (ages 5 and up)

Awards & Schedule:

  • Awards:
    • Trophies for the Top 3 squads in each category
    • Grand Champion in each awards ceremony receives a trophy and $50 prize
  • Schedule Highlights:
    • 11:45 AM – Grandstand opens for squads & coaches
    • 12:00 PM – Grandstand opens for spectators
    • 12:30 PM – Competition begins
    • Awards ceremonies follow Tiny-Mini-Youth and MS/HS divisions
  • Performance Area: 52’ x 42’ cheer mat on the fairground track. Practice mats will be available for scheduled warm-ups.

Important Notes:

  • Music must be licensed and provided digitally (no CDs); coaches must bring a dongle adapter.
  • No glitter or non-stud jewelry allowed.
  • All participants must have a signed waiver form.
  • Only 2 coaches per team receive free fair and grandstand entry.
