      • Approve payment of $3,519.40 to JR Fair Board for their share of damaged contents from Tornado damage
      • Board President approve judges for the 2026 Hardin County Fair.

      • Fence around Horse Arena being replaced (tornado damage)
      • Fence damage in front of fairgrounds – insurance claim
      • Utility shed insulation, drywall, etc. work
      • Announcer stand in infield still to be built (tornado damage)
      • Garage doors on caretaker’s new garage have been installed along with donated items and manpower for landscaping to caretaker’s house and garage area
      • Fire Extinguishers and the Restaurant hoods were inspected yesterday
      • Regular Fair Work Day is scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd and an additional work day was added to Saturday, August 29th.
    • Camping Committee
      • Ohio Good Sam group was here in August and have signed their contract for next year.
      • Upgrading electric in East Camping lot
      • Fair Campers can now pick up their hangtags and wristbands for the fair
    • Entertainment Committee
      • Tickets for the Aaron Tippin/Chris Cagle concert can still be purchased through the fair’s website. General Admission $30 and Pit/Party Passes $40.
      • Contract for Pony rides has been received.
      • Concert Insurance needs finalized this month.
      • Cheerleading Comp. judges are needed.
    • Livestock Committees
      • A judge is still needed for Dairy – waiting for just a few other dept. Judges’ contracts to be returned
      • Rabbit Tattooing was Saturday, August 1st
      • Chicken Pullorum Testing is scheduled for Saturday August 15th from 9am to 12 noon at the Fairgrounds. More information about this can be located on the Fair’s Website.
    • Rides, Concessions & Vendors
      • Applications continue to be submitted for concessions and vendors – go to the fair’s website to submit
    • Advertising/Sponsorship Committee
      • Anyone interested in being a sponsor for the 2026 Hardin County fair can still submit an application on the fair’s website.
    • Tech. Committee
      • Sound and Fiber reinstall from Tornado Damage
      • Computers were purchased for the JR Fair Livestock Sale Committee
    • Other Committees
      • 2026 Fair Book online and in the Fair office

Old Business:

  • Still need judges for the 2026 fair for Raw Fruits/Vegetables.
  • The Fair Office is now open Monday – Friday from 9am-5pm through August.
  • Open Class entries can be made on line or by coming in to the Fair Office to have assistance with making them until Friday, August 28th.
  • The Prince and Princess Contest with selling their 50/50 tickets is going on until the end of this week. And if anyone in the public wants to purchase a 50/50 ticket, they can do so in the Fair Office until August 15th.
  • JR Fair Exhibitors should be receiving their Youth/Season Pass from their advisor soon.
  • The Emergency Management Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19th at 6pm in the Grange Restaurant.
  • Still need Fraud Training Certificates from Jake, Justin, Craig, Corey, Charlie, Christa, Andrew, Curt, Austin, Nathan, Catherine, Ron, Randy and Amanda

New Business:

  • August & Sept. Rentals
  • Just a reminder Season Tickets go up in price starting Friday, Sept. 4th to $35 a ticket. ($5 increase)
  • Box Seat Holders can pick up their tickets now and Concessions/Vendors can pick up their packets now, too.
  • The Ohio Dept. of Agriculture has awarded the Hardin County Ag. Society a $750,000 grant to be used for the Livestock Project.
  • Our Sept. Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2nd at 7pm in the Community Bldg.
