The Hardin County Agricultural Society will be holding their Annual Election for Board of Directors on Saturday, Nov. 1st, 2025, from 3-7pm at the Hardin County Fair Office.
To vote for a director, you need to have purchased a 2025 Fair Membership Ticket (the extra $2.00 ticket). There are 10 positions open for re-election this year. Members can vote for 2 director at large positions (3 year term).
Those running are Abe Decker and Austin Eibling. Members can also vote for 1 director at large position (2 year term). Kirk Cameron is running for that position. Running unopposed is Curt Vanderpool for Jackson Twp. Running unopposed is Meghan Yoakum for Liberty Twp. Running unopposed is Christa Rarey for Pleasant Twp. Running unopposed is Tyler Overly for Buck Twp. Running unopposed is Corey Ledley for Hale Twp. If you are a member of one of those townships, you will be allowed to vote for those director positions.Â
There are no candidates running for vacant positions in Taylor Creek or Lynn Townships. If someone is still interested in being a director and didn’t want to run for an elected period, you can submit a letter of interest to the Hardin County Ag. Society by November 4th. The current board can appoint any person for a 1-year term, to any township, even if you don’t live in that township. Those positions will be filled at the regular November board meeting on November 5th, 2025.
Following the election at 7:30pm, the Fair board will hold their annual meeting and re-organizational meeting in the Arts/Crafts Building. All members are invited to attend the annual meeting.
