Board sets agenda for March meeting

The Hardin County Ag Society set the next meeting for March 4, 2026 with the following agenda.

  5. Financial Reports (The 2025 Hardin Co. Ag. Society Annual Report has been submitted & is on our website and the Hinkle Report for the State Auditor has been submitted) 1099’s and W-2’s have been sent, too.

      • Next work session is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

      • Grant was turned in to the Hardin County Community Foundation

      • Current campers payment due date is March 10th, but many people are experiencing problems with the camping codes from Fairs.com.
      • You will no longer be able to bring your camper any earlier than Thursday before the fair and if brought that day it will cost you an extra $25.
      • So far, I have received notice of 4 people not coming back to camp.

      • Annual Consignment Sale is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026 9am. Items can be dropped off to consign on either Thursday, March 12 or Friday, March 13th from 8am-6:30pm.

Old Business: 

  • Fairbook is close to being done for 2026, with final edits occurring now. Then it will go to print.
  • Gate workers for the fair – contract needed
  • Who’s going to the Spring District Meeting?
  • Need judges for the 2026 fair, if you haven’t already turned them in.

New Business: 

  • March & April Rentals
  • P&R Communications quote for radio use during the fair
  • The Middlefield Banking Company is becoming Farmers National Bank. They want vendors to pay them directly and not send checks to the Office. And they want us to pay vendors through ACH rather than me sending checks to vendors.
  • Our March Board Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th at 7pm in the Fair Office.
