The Hardin County Agricultural Society met Friday June 26th, 2026 for a Special Board meeting with directors: Corey Ledley, Rob Wilson, Dan Beale, Steve Harpster, Andrew Scharf, Austin Eibling, Jack McBride, Tyler Overly, PJ Noascono, Nathan Weaver, Craig Decker, Abe Decker, Meghan Yoakum and Kirk Cameron. Guests present were: Judi Cronley and Randy Clark
Jack McBride, Board Vice President, called the meeting to order.
Discussion was held about who to award the bid for the 1st Livestock Building to be built. There were 4 construction companies that submitted bids. Tyler Overly and Dan Beale moved to use a general contractor for the building. The motion passed unanimously. Corey Ledley and Nathan Weaver moved to have Judi Cronley, Board Treasurer move $500,000 (the one time encouragement money from Jon Cross) from the Savings Account to the General Operations account and to pay Dry Lane Construction from Belle Center, Ohio that money. The motion passed unanimously. Rob Wilson and Kirk Cameron moved to use the money from the Reverse Raffle and other donated money or Ag. Society money to finish off the remaining amount due of $361,253. The motion passed unanimously.
Kirk Cameron and Tyler Overly moved to formulate 2 job descriptions for a Tech Position and Marketing/Advertising Position for the July 8th board meeting, so they can be approved and posted at that time. It was discussed that pay would be based on experience. The motion passed unanimously. Directors thought that posting the jobs on the Fair’s website (also linked to Facebook) and Ohio Means Jobs would be the appropriate places.
Dan Beale and Andrew Scharf moved to adjourn the meeting.
