The Alger First Methodist Church in support of the Hardin County Fairgrounds rebuilding effort is hosting a Storage Wars Charity Auction on July 28, 2026.

Who: Anyone can participate as a buyer or a seller!

Sellers:

  1. Fill a box with your treasures.
    • Each box must have at least 5 items and be worth at least $25. (that could be one item worth $25 and 4 odds and ends, five items worth $5 each, or an assortment of your choosing.)
  2. Wrap your box (you can use brown paper or gift wrapping, just make it a complete surprise.)
  3. Create a vague description of your box’s contents and label the outside with this description.
    • For example: a box containing kitchen appliances, kitchenware and kitchen antiques might be: A kitchenrelic, a set of tools, hosting essentials, and a countertop baking implement or as A.I. says: A repository of things once displayed, things used to feed, and things kept simply for the sake of remembering.
  4. Register your box with the committee by July 21, 2026.
  5. Bring your box to the “Storage Wars Charity Auction” on July 28, 2026, by 6:30 p.m.
  6. Stay and enjoy the fun, become a buyer!
