Board sets agenda for November meeting

The Hardin County Ag Society Board meets November 4th, 2026, to hear committee reports, review old and new business, and consider appointments to two vacant director positions.

The Hardin County Ag Society set the next meeting for November 4th, 2026 with the following agenda.

  7. Any letters of interest for 2 vacant director positions? Swear in directors if appointed.
  8. Committee Reports:
    • Jr Fair Board Report
    • Development Committee
      • The next work session is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 18th at 7pm in the Fair Office.
    • Executive Committee
      • Forming new committees this month and a new Executive Committee will be elected at the Dec. Board Meeting
      • The committee needs to meet towards the end of the month to finalize the budget for 2027.
      • Judi and Randy’s contracts need done for 2027, to be included in the 2027 budget.
      • Rental rates need to be set for next year.
    • Strategic Planning
    • Grounds Committee
      • Vehicles can be stored in the Youth/Ag. Building. $30 a month, minimum of $100. The last storage date is July 31, 2027.
    • Camping Committee
    • Entertainment Committee
      • Magician booked for 2027 fair.
    • Livestock Committees
      • Sale Committee Meeting minutes
      • Livestock Exhibitor Sale Checks can still be picked up in the Fair Secretary Office during Secretary Office Hours until Friday, Nov. 20th. And they need to be cashed by the end of November. Several still need to be cashed…And there are still that need to be picked up.
      • All livestock committees need to meet before Dec. 15th to finalize their fair bookupdates, if not done already.
      • 3 Livestock Sale invoices are not paid – $425.
    • Rides, Concessions & Vendors
    • Advertising/Sponsorship Committee
      • The Advertising Committee needs to have a meeting this month to set a budget for 2027.
    • Tech. Committee

      • Fair Reverse Raffle update? Saturday, February 13th.

Old Business:

  • JR Fair and Open Class premium money can still be picked up in cash from the Fair Secretary Office on Wednesday and Friday’s 9-4pm until Friday, Nov. 20th.
  • Inventory sheets need to be turned in.
  • District 2 meeting update
  • Convention update, hotel confirmations will be given at the December boardmeeting.

New Business:

  • Nov. & Dec. Rentals
  • Bonus for UNOH gate workers
  • Delegate for 2027 OFMA Convention
  • The Fair Secretary Office will be closed Friday, November 27th – day after Thanksgiving.
  • Judi is requesting the Dec. Board Meeting to be one week later, to give Judi time to finalize the Annual Report that needs to be approved before submitting to ODA. That would make the meeting Wednesday, December 9th, instead of December 2nd.
