Fight the hunger. Stock the Trailer.
The Hardin County Junior Fair Board is excited to share that we will be competing in the Farm Credit Mid-America and Rural 1st contest Fight Hunger, Stock the Trailer.
The contest helps county fairs raise food donations for local food banks across Ohio by creating friendly competition between county fairs. Across the state of Ohio the Fight the Hunger, Stock the Trailer contest has coordinated nearly 200,000 pounds of donations to rural food banks.
Junior Fair Board members will be collecting monetary donations until September 7, 2023 and using all proceeds to purchase non-perishable items to be added to the trailer during the week of the fair. Members will be creating donation boxes to collect non-perishable items leading up to fair week for local businesses. Donations will be accepted throughout the fair.

Farm Credit Mid-America and Rural 1st are excited to announce a challenge for local communities to help feed those in need while supporting junior fairs.
Contest Prizes and Rules
All participating county fairs will receive $500.
Additional prizes are awarded based on total pounds donated.
